Vanessa Feltz and her ex-partner Ben Ofoedu had set a list of goals to “strengthen” their relationship a few weeks before they broke up.
The TV personality and her ex-partner Ben, who she was with for 16 years, wrote each other letters in Best Magazine in December, giving each other “a list of things” they wanted to “work on” to “make their relationship “stronger”.
In the list, Ben pleaded that the This Morning star “relaxed a little” when they argued and vouched if she could “not want to win every disagreement” they had.

She also had a few requests for Ben and asked him for a compromise where she would stop obsessing over time-keeping if he drank less.
Ben wrote in the columns where they discussed their resolutions: “I was kinda thinking maybe you could do a few things that would make our relationship stronger and cause less strife.
“I was thinking you could relax a little when we argue and not want to win every disagreement – so unless it’s essential that one of us is always ‘right’, I think we can agree to disagree, as life is too short for arguing.”
Vanessa also requested him to pass his driving test so he could become the designated driver, as she “had the privilege of doing it for 16 years”.
It comes after heartbroken Vanessa announced she had ended things with Ben, following suspicions that he had allegedly cheated on her with several women throughout their relationship.

On Wednesday (February 8), Vanessa joined her This Morning pals Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on the ITV coach, where she tearfully opened up about the split.
The TV star admitted she “can’t sleep at all” but was grateful for the support and messages she’s received, which she reads in the “middle of the night.”
“People have been amazing, absolutely amazing, and of course, it helps a lot as I can’t sleep at all,” she revealed.
She went on: “I’m not alone, and also, I’ve been through it before. It’s not like I’m a stranger to this stuff. I’ve already had a horrible divorce! It’s quite familiar with this awful feeling!”
