Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s Saturday Night Takeaway is set to to go out with a bang with a two-hour extravaganza for its final show.
After more than two decades on the silver screen, the ITV teatime show will come to an end next month. The first details of the upcoming show have been revealed which is set to be filmed across the whole of the TV Centre in London with its “biggest live show ever”.
It will feature sensational performances as Ant McPartlin, 48, teased: “We can’t believe there are only a few shows left and we’re getting closer to the end.

“This series has been very special to make and we’re looking forward to making the last show a party to end all parties. The SNT production team have been working non stop to ensure this special, two hour finale has that SNT magic from start to finish.”
His co-host Declan Donnelly, 48, added: “The finale will be a real celebration of Saturday Night Takeaway over the years. We’re honoured and touched that for 20 series it’s been part of Saturday night TV viewing for so many families across the country.
“We’re giving it (and us! ) a rest for now, but we’ll take away and treasure some very special memories and moments. We will most certainly miss it.”, reports the Mirror.
The final Star Guest Announcers for the extended closing show will be iconic pop group Girls Aloud. It will also feature celebrity guests including Ashley Roberts, S-Club, Scarlett Moffatt, Andi Peters, Kaiser Chiefs, Jordan North and Tony Hadley.
Ant and Dec are also get their comeuppance in Get Out Of Me Ear: The Revenge, with other celebs who have been pranked by them in the past getting their own back and telling the duo what to do via an earpiece with comic results. Taking part in segment are Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Dermot O’Leary.
Also taking part will be Alison Hammond, Holly Willoughby, Rylan, Oti Mabuse, in addition to Olly Murs, Davina McCall, Gino D’Acampo, Craig David, Richard Madeley and Cheryl.
There’s also a special montage of SNT’s best bits from the past 20 series, loads more live surprises and an amazing End of the Show Show. It comes after fans spotted an awkward blunder during their latest show.
During the latest Win The Ads segment, audience member Grace was lucky enough to be chosen to play. But as her photo and name appeared on-screen behind Ant and Dec, viewers were quick to notice the X-rated mistake.
As Dec was blocking part of her name, it actually spelled out w**k. Viewers couldn’t help but comment on the blunder online as one wrote: “I beg your pardon? What’s her name… #saturdaynighttakeaway.”
Another penned: “Feel so childish laughing at that unfortunate angle of her surname on the screen #SaturdayNightTakeaway.” “Unfortunate positioning there lol #SaturdayNightTakeaway,” a third declared. Despite the amusing mix-up, Grace went on to win all 16 prizes.
Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway – a two hour farewell spectacular – will air on April 13 on ITV1, STV, STV Player and ITVX.
