BBC Breakfast host ‘missing’ as concerned viewers panic over star’s whereabouts

One beloved BBC Breakfast host has been missing from the show for days.

Naga Munchetty has been “replaced” for the third day in a row in her Saturday slot (25 May) alongside presenter Charlie Stayt. Nina Warhurst took her place and sported a classy leopard print top complete with black trousers.

She wore her hair in a short brunette bob with loose waves as she co-hosted the early morning breakfast show. According to reports, the BBC has not announced why Naga is missing from the show.

Over on X/Twitter, fans shared their concerns over Munchetty’s disappearance. One person typed: “@TVNaga are you ok? We miss you from our TV screens in the morning.”

Another said: “Anyone seen Naga Munchetty? I think I’m actually missing her today.” BBC Breakfast was recently in the news after presenter Charlie Stayt issued an apology to a guest.

He welcomed Energy Secretary Clare Coutinho onto the show through a video link as they discussed energy price caps and the cost of living crisis. However, things took a turn when he interrupted her as she addressed the nation’s issues.

While she was talking, Charlie quipped: “My question here is more in a practical way – my apologies for interrupting. I just wanted to secure this in relation to domestic bills first.”

Fans once again rushed to social media to share their thoughts on the interview. Many said that comparisons should be made of prices per unit between France, Spain and Ireland, while someone else fumed: “The energy price always go down this time of year. Don’t act like you’re doing us all a favour #BBCBreakfast.”

Another furious viewer slammed Stayt for his interviewing style and scathed: “Charlie is on ‘stupid question duty today #BBCBreakfast.” The early morning news show is live on BBC One and the BBC News channel every morning from 6am.

The show covers a whole host of topics and current affairs, including news, sport updates, weather, business and features. Regular hosts include Sally Nugent, Jon Kay, Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt.
