BBC Breakfast icon Naga Munchetty left viewers fuming after she spit out food a guest on the programme had generously served her.
When Surrey University’s Professor Dr Ralph Munders, arrived on the show, with muffins, he hoped to earn the approval of the presenters. Alas, the reaction he received was anything but, as the food exited Naga’s mouth just as quick as it entered.
However, while some have hit back at the host’s attitude, in her defence, the muffins were filled with insects.

The academic claimed that his research has led him to believe that the consumption of insects can have numerous positive effects on the human body.
Elaborating further, Dr Ralph said that the creepy crawlies are a great source of protein. However, regardless of whether that is the case or not, they’re still insects.
Therefore, the two presenters didn’t look overly keen to try when the professor suggested they tuck in. Against her better judgement, Naga gave it a whril, only to pull a face, indicating she despised the taste, before spitting it back out again. Exhibiting her class, she tried to hide the evidence with a tissue. Alas, she didn’t come close to fooling the viewers.
Bizarrely, as Naga lunged for some water to wash the horrific taste away, a beaming Charlie opted for another bite, seemingly enjoying the insane sweet treat.
Naga’s reaction riled up some viewers, with one furious individual taking to social media to rage: “She was plain rude. Clearly, someone in her ear told her off.”
However, most were understanding with the 49-year-old, with several individuals coming to her defence. One said: “I see Naga’s face after eating those insect muffins lol.”
A second wrote: “By the look of Naga’s face, those muffins taste as bad as we’d predicted lol.” A third added: “Both of those muffins on BBC Breakfast look rank, and Naga just confirmed they’re bad. It’s a no from me.”
