Greek police allegedly had “key” CCTV footage of TV doc Michael Mosley’s last movements for “four days” before a body was discovered.
The Sun reports footage of the This Morning star, which showed him heart-wrenchingly close to the beach resort Agia Marina where he could have found safety, was handed in to police on Wednesday night (June 5). The TV doc, 67, was finally found on June 9.
His body was sadly discovered close to a cave complex on Symi, around 10 metres from the sea – and did not show any signs of injury. According to Live News, cops claimed it was hard to identify Mosley’s body from the footage they had, as it appeared as a “small dot” on camera.

It showed Mosley struggling at around 3:45pm on Wednesday after embarking on a brutal hike in 40 degree heat, after taking a wrong turn in Pedi around 2pm. He is thought to have died around 4pm on June 5.
The ITV star was found with his legs raised on a rock, indicating he chose to sit down in a position to prevent fainting before losing consciousness. He had walked for more than two hours in the broiling heat and was found in a shaded spot alongside his backpack.
Symi police chief Dimos Kotsidaras hinted that the cause of his death was “heat exhaustion after walking in high temperatures from St Nicholas to Agia Marina.”
Michael’s widow Dr Bailey Mosley shared a tragic statement confirming her husband’s death, explaining: “I don’t know quite where to begin with this. It’s devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband. We had an incredibly lucky life together. We loved each other very much and were so happy together.
“We’re taking comfort in the fact that he so very nearly made it. He did an incredible climb, took the wrong route and collapsed where he couldn’t be easily seen by the extensive search team. Michael was an adventurous man, it’s part of what made him so special.”
