Dan Walker has reportedly been at the centre of an investigation following a complaint from his colleague working in the media.
The Channel 5 News anchor, 46, has been “completely exonerated” following the probe but the investigators found that he had done nothing wrong. An investigator told The Sun: “There is a lack of evidence to support allegations”.
A source added: “This row has sent shockwaves round Channel 5 and ITN. Dan is a hugely popular figure and is really well-respected. He was devastated and totally stunned to be dragged into this.”

The publication report that Dan, father of three, learned about the complaint last year and he “just couldn’t understand it”. He co-operated with the investigation and was “relieved but not surprised to be totally exonerated”.
A spokesman for ITN said: “We take such claims incredibly seriously. To ensure fairness and impartiality, we appointed an independent external consultant and they have concluded their investigation. Given our ongoing duty of care, we won’t be commenting further.” A Channel 5 spokesperson added: ““ITN commissioned an independent external expert to investigate these allegations but none were upheld.”
It comes after Dan opened up on his “dream” career move away from television as he expressed his excitement on social media. The former BBC Breakfast star took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce he is now the part-owner of a cafe.
Sharing snaps outside the premises as well as images of delicious food you can expect there, Dan wrote: “You know I go on about cake a lot? Well… I am officially now the part-owner of a cafe!
“It’s something my wife and I have been thinking about for a while and an opportunity came up just down the road from our house in Sheffield at a place we love, right at the heart of the community, and with friends who are brilliant. So… feel free to pop along to the Brook Coffee Rooms in Fulwood in Sheffield… I’ll be the one in the corner eating a cronut. It is officially… THE DREAM.”
Among the famous faces to congratulate him on his new venture was his former BBC Breakfast colleague and weather presenter Carol Kirkwood. “Those cakes…. these pastries… Congratulations to you both,” she replied.
A follower added: “After your morning on Classic FM, you can serve cake to your customers for a couple of hours at lunchtime before preparing for 5 News later on. Your perfect working day is now complete.”
Another penned: “We send huge good luck wishes Dan for you and your families exciting new adventure. We are round the corner so will definitely be in soon.”
And a third wrote: “Congratulations from one Community Coffee Shop to another! Sending you both lots of love and luck as you take on this new challenge.”
