EastEnders aired more chilling scenes for Reiss Colwell on Monday (July 29) as the killer accountant visited his late wife at the morgue.
Last week, Reiss (played by Jonny Freeman) shockingly smothered his comatose wife Debbie at her care home as he struggled with debt, and her medical fees.
Debbie (Jenny Meier) had been in a coma for some time after suffering a stroke but Reiss turned into a murderer to lighten his financial load as he and Sonia are expecting their first baby together.
But during the latest trip to Walford, which is available to watch early on iPlayer, Reiss bumped into Debbie’s mum and dad who were less than convinced that she had died of natural causes.

The book-keeper’s day kicked off with a confrontation from Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) demanding a return on his £13.5k investment.
Acting the grieving widow, Reiss told the local hard nut that he’s not in the right headspace to talk business as his wife had died – not that Phil showed any sympathy.
When Reiss arrived home, pregnant girlfriend Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) asked Reiss what Phil wanted. Initially Reiss tries to cover up his latest lie but he soon reached breaking point and admitted he has stolen Phil’s money.
Later on, the police arrive to inform him that Debbie’s post-mortem is complete and he is allowed to see her while they wait for the results.
While at the care home, Reiss and Sonia bump into Debbie’s parents Brenda and Hugh Collins, played by Michael Bertenshaw and Nichola McAuliffe, leaving widower Reiss with some serious questions to answer.
Brenda is convinced her daughter Debbie did not die of natural causes despite being in a coma. “I can’t believe she’s gone, my little girl’s really gone”, Hugh tells Reiss who looks on in shock.
Brenda added: “I just don’t get it, well she was stable and I called the care home and they said she was fine. And then I get a call, out of the blue, saying that she’d gone.”
After taking a breathe, the devastated mum added: “Something happened to our little girl, and I’m going to find out what.” Will Brenda and Hugh realise their daughter’s husband is responsible for her sudden death?
EastEnders airs Monday-Thursday on BBC1 and iPlayer.
