EastEnders fans are convinced a surprise Walford resident “is in cahoots’ with the vile Pastor Clayton.
The character, played by Howard Saddler, rocked up to Albert Square in December last year as the local church leader. At first, fans thought he and Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) would strike up some sort of romance.
However recently, Yolande was sexually assaulted by the Pastor, leaving her devastated – with the ordeal clearly having an effect on her mental health. Meanwhile, Pastor Clayton, who has assaulted women for decades, has acted like he’s done nothing wrong.

Yolande has since opened up to Patrick and church official Levi – who confirmed he would tell the church to start investigating. However in Thursday’s episode (May 9) Yolande was informed that Levi had scheduled his meeting with the church elders for next week.
Fuming, Patrick warned Levi he needs to move it along quickly or he will take action himself. Later on, Patrick then confronted the Pastor in front of the church with pair scuffling – much to the horror of Yolane.
Now fans of the long-running BBC One soap are convinced Levi could be working with Pastor Clayton. Some even claim he could be his son.
On an EastEnders Facebook fan page, one person said: “Does anyone think this Levi bloke is going to pretend to help Yolande and is related to Pastor Clayton in some way Like the son of the pastor or something and he’s in on all this and like his dad?? Just a thought as he doesn’t have a second name yet??” They added.
A second viewer mused: “Yeh I thought he was quite shifty tbh.” A third wrote: “Yesss I had a weird feeling about him!!” Another penned: “In cahoots.”
Someone else chimed in and wrote: “I was thinking the same thing, I don’t think he is he’s son, but I think Levi knows what the Pastor is up to.” A sixth said: “Levi will either be the pastor’s support or his downfall (hopefully the latter).”
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
