Daily Star quizzed one of the world’s most popular artificially intelligent “creative” tools Bard AI to see whether Belle could seek solace from another and fall pregnant. The program responded: “It’s possible within the context of Emmerdale for Belle to get pregnant with a baby that isn’t Tom’s.

“Surprise pregnancies and complicated relationships are frequent storylines in soap operas like Emmerdale. This creates dramatic tension and changes character dynamics. Given Tom’s recent behaviour, it’s likely Belle could sway from her husband.

Belle chooses to keep the abusive a secret from her loved ones

Touching upon which character could be the dad, the system claimed it could be a person fans haven’t seen before. It added: “Emmerdale often introduces new characters for specific storylines. A new love interest could always be introduced and create this situation.”

Eden, who has played Belle since 2005, opened up about the responsibility she feels she has tackling such an important storyline. The 26-year-old continued: “But it is an important story to tell. Soaps offer the viewer a glimpse of life behind closed doors and reveal what people present to the world isn’t always a truth. The sad reality is that behaviour like this in a relationship is all too prevalent.”

Eden added: “I hope we do this story justice. And if people are in a situation like this they should definitely get help.”
