Film fans are “horrified” by one gruesome film filled with Hollywood icons.
Over on X/Twitter, one person called Tusk “the most disturbing horror movie they’d ever seen,” while someone else made the bold claim: “It is far worse to me than [The Human] Centipede or Saw as a franchise.”
Facebook users also gathered online to discuss the film, writing: “It’s way worse [than The Human Centipede]. Still traumatised. Forever traumatised.” Someone else added: “This film was very disturbing, a lot worse than The Human Centipede, very sad ending.”

The traumatising flick even left one horror fan completely shaken as they confessed they “can’t unsee it now”. There seems to be a universal agreement between anyone that has watched Tusk – this grisly film is not for the faint of heart.
Tusk stars Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Michael Parks, Genesis Rodriguez, Lily-Rose Depp, Harley Morenstein, Ralph Garman, Harley Quinn Smith, Ashley Greene and Scott Mosier.
A description of the horror reads: “The life of a haughty podcaster, Wallace Bryton, changes drastically when he travels to Canada for an interview with an infamous celebrity, who unbeknownst to him has a strange affinity to walruses.”
Tusk follows the story of Long’s character who meets a retired sailor with sinister intentions. His creepy plans are connected to a previous obsession with a real life walrus named Mr Tusk.
The film was released back in 2014 by A24, the masterminds behind Midsommar, Hereditary, Pearl, X and Maxxxine. The independent film has been described as a “body horror comedy psychological thriller” written and directed by Kevin Smith.
Tusk is part of the director’s planned trilogy titled True North, which is followed by Yoga Hosers released two years later. The third instalment Moose Jaws is set to be released in 2024.
The freaky film received mixed reviews upon its release but since 2014, Tusk has garnered a cult status among horror fans. It first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival before its initial release date.
