I’m A Celeb’s Ant and Dec ready ‘swear jar’ for Coleen Rooney ‘Wagatha Christie’ gags

Telly hosts Ant and Dec are lining up a string of ‘Wagatha Christie’ jokes for Coleen Rooney’s stint on I’m A Celebrity.

The duo will make gags about her famous bust-up with rival WAG Rebekah Vardy which ended up in court. Ideas include putting money in a ‘swear jar’ every time the duo mention the Wags’ libel trial.

Coleen, 38, is this year’s most high-profile jungle camp mate – ex-England captain Wayne Rooney’s wife reportedly pocketing a record £1.5million.

The show’s joke writers are also considering Cluedo-like tasks when the show returns to ITV on Sunday, November 17. Sources have claimed Ant and Dec will tease about Coleen’s social media post five years ago when she accused Leicester striker Jamie Vardy’s wife of leaking stories about her to the media.

At the time, she posted: “It’s… Rebekah Vardy’s account.”

It is expected Ant and Dec will use the punchline “It’s…” on a regular basis during skits introducing highlights.

A show insider said: “Talks about scripts and trials are throwing up hilarious ideas, like a swear jar.

“Another plan is having tasks based on a Cluedo-type idea with Coleen as the detective.”

The libel battle over Coleen’s social media claim ended in defeat for Rebekah who was left with a £3million legal costs bill, including her rival’s expenses.

They remain locked in High Court hearings over the costs with a bid from Rebekah to have some of the whopping bill written off as unreasonable.

She appeared on the show in 2017, when she is believed to have been paid £100,000.

Other stars set to join Coleen in the jungle this year include boxing legend Barry McGuigan, pop star Tulisa Contostavlos and Corrie star Alan Halsall.
