Inside Gladiators star Ace’s love life with Katie Price before becoming a vicar

Katie Price’s love life has had many a name to it with a string of men coming in and out of her life.

Some of the men that have been linked to the former glamour model and businesswoman include Peter Andre and Alex Reid, both of whom have now parted ways with the showbiz legend. Her most recent on/off relationship with Carl Woods ended at the end of last year, when daughter Bunny confirmed on a Tiktok livestream that her mum was back on the market.

However, one of the now lesser-known relationships the Pricey, 45, had was with former Gladiators star Ace. The strongman, whose real name is Warren Furman, shot to fame when he appeared on the ITV show which tested the limits of physical ability.

Furman and Price first met each other in the early 1990s and immediately hit it off, with both bonding over their shared working-class background. In a 2016 interview, Warren added that the twosome got even closer as they pushed to break through the glass ceiling and make money.

The pair were completely inseparable during their time together, and the couple did not shy away when it came to kiss and tell. Both Warren, who had become well-known for his role as Ace in 1996, and Katie were happy to discuss all the dirty details of their sex life.

Things would continue to go from strength to strength for the pair, and in 1997, the pair got engaged. The pair would stay together for two years, all the while selling stories of their raunchy romps.

However, things took a turn when Warren accused the Pricey of sleeping with Formula 1 star Ralf Schumacher. The relationship soon turned sour and the couple broke things off in 1999, with Katie going on to more modelling under her other name Jordan.

Reflecting on the relationship in an interview with The Sun last week, however, Warren admitted he had regrets of what he said about Katie in the papers previously. He admitted that he saw the slagging matches were “selfish” at the time, but now has deep respect for her.

“It’s not the way I think now, I have great admiration for her,” he explained. “I know how difficult it is being a parent.”

He continued: “If I see a picture of her in the papers and magazines, I pray that she would know God as I do and realise that her identity doesn’t have to be in altering her body or having operations. God loves who she is.”

In 2000, Warren left Gladiators behind and met wife Dionne, who worked as a cabin crew manager for Virgin Airways. Furman would then go on to have a spiritual awakening and in 2015, found his calling in the Church of England.

A year later, he reconnected with his former flame Katie and appealed to her to find God alongside him so she would stop having numerous plastic surgeries. He also apologised for his actions towards Katie following the break-up and it seems that both are on good terms once again.

Warren, now 51, and Dionne now share two children together who have grown up and left home. The pair have also followed the path to becoming clerics and will soon be ordained as a vicar for the Church of England in London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Gladiators kicks off on Saturday, January 13 at 5:50pm on BBC One and the BBC iPlayer.
