ITV Emmerdale’s Moira turns to another man as Cain makes heartbreaking discovery

Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle, played by Natalie J. Robb, is set to find solace in an unlikely villager next week.

The popular character has had a turbulent few months following the saga involving her son Matty Barton, portrayed by Ash Palmisciano.

Fans will remember that Matty was imprisoned after Samson Dingle, played by Sam Hall, falsely told the police he had been stabbed. He was eventually released when Samson confessed the truth about the incident.

However, it’s Moira’s actions that have been causing a stir among viewers due to her surprising outbursts. Despite snapping at Matty, Moira didn’t seem to recall the conversation and apologised for being “cantankerous.”

She also had a heated argument with her husband Cain, played by Jeff Hordley, before starting to nap during the day and drink alcohol alone – a shock for fans as Moira battled substance abuse three years ago, reports the Express.

The next day she lashed out at Cain again, but returned home in a more cheerful mood. Cain expressed his confusion as she had previously left the house in a “funny mood.”

However, Moira couldn’t seem to remember her outburst, leaving Cain puzzled. And next week, things are set to take a dramatic turn for the beloved couple.

Emmerdale spoilers reveal that Cain is impressed when he sees newcomer John Sugden handling a major client of the farm. But tension is on the horizon when Cain confronts Moira over the whisky he found in her bag and is unimpressed to see Moira taking painkillers.

A peeved Moira highlights the untouched bottle of whisky, and later shares her marital concerns with John. In another scene, Nate is left aghast when Cain confronts him about his relationship with Moira after spotting them enjoying a drink together.

Nate feels wounded as he tries to convince Cain that their relationship is solid. He grows worried when Cain leaves to attend to the children.

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
