Laura Woods has left her fans heartbroken after getting engaged to Love Island star Adam Collard.
Sports presenter Laura, 37, announced on Monday (September 16) that she would be tying the knot with two-time Love Islander Adam, 28. In a glowing post on her social media, she revealed that the hunk had proposed to her whilst they had been on holiday in Cornwall.
Laura is already settling down with the Geordie star after announcing her pregnancy earlier this year. But while many fans were thrilled to see the pair finally make it official and get off the market, others were less happy to see Laura go.

One fan, who commented on Laura’s huge engagement ring, admitted that the news had broken them. “She’s well and truly gone lads…just fell to my knees at work.”
A second user also joined in on the devastation, confessing that they had done the same thing. “Just fell to my knees in the bread aisle,” the fan sobbed, as they came to terms with her happy news.
Meanwhile, a third was less than happy to see Laura get a ring put on her finger, as they were hoping to have a shot with the sports show host. They joked: “Well, there’s all the chance I had gone.”
Adam and Laura officially became a couple in October soon after the ITV star’s stint on Celebs Go Dating last summer. Since becoming an item, the pair have been head over heels for each other, with Adam gushing over his beau as she recently celebrated her 37th birthday – with a glowing tribute reading: “Happy birthday you rockstar,” followed by a kiss.
According to Laura, her new fiancé got down on one knee as they strolled along the beach on a romantic getaway in the South West of England. A photographer was on hand to catch the ecstatic moment for the couple, with Laura breaking down in tears at the proposal, before saying yes.
Taking to her Instagram to break the news, Laura was still in shock as she said: “And just like that… you make me happy, Adam. Thank you Carbis Bay Estate – the place we fell in love and now the place we got engaged, you made it so special; what a summer.”
In a recent interview, Laura confessed how she had been hiding her pregnancy from fans and fellow presenters, even as she commentated on major sporting events such as the Euros and the Olympics. She revealed that she was pregnant in the midst of covering the Euro 2024 tournament in Germany, but held off from telling co-workers.
She admitted that she had been suffering from “constant” morning sickness as she tried to work her way through the competition; though she added she felt “much better” once the Olympics got underway in Paris. Laura shared the joy of her pregnancy on her Instagram following the European tournament, leading fans to freak out over their new arrival.
