Love Island recoupling sees tensions rise as Mitch fumes ‘behave!’ at Luis

Tensions are set to rise in the Love Island villa as Mitch and Luis go head-to-head in tense scenes.

Emotions will run high on Friday night’s episode (January 19) as the first recoupling of the series takes place. As the couple’s face the option of sticking where they are or switching things up, things take a tense turn around the firepit.

After the recoupling, the villa erupts into chaos as Luis discovers that Mitch has been up to no good. Realising what might happen, he directly confronts Mitch in an attempt to understand what has gone on.

Luis hits out at Mitch, saying: “Mitch, come here bruv, you know what you did there bruv.” Feeling threatened, Mitch hits back at Luis and quips: “Behave bro!”

The pair keep away from each other for much of the night before trying to clear the air towards the end of the evening. Luis calms the situation down, telling Mitch: “Come here brother, sorry bro. I’m sorry man, I don’t want any rift in here.”

It comes as the Islanders face difficult decisions in the run-up to the recoupling. It also seems that some of the choices being made will change the dynamic in the villa and leaves some less than happy with their options.

As series 1 heart-throb Josh is the newest Islander, he is exempt from being picked and instead gets to choose a lucky girl himself. However, the remaining girls get to pick their man of choice, leaving some to resort to stepping on toes.

With nearly all the couples chosen, the last girl to pick stands at the fire pit, but hits out at her lack of choice. She quips: “I’m coupling up with this boy because the boy I probably would have chosen has already been taken…”

Elsewhere in the episode, the Islanders are set to attend the Pre-Loved Punk Party, organised by Ebay – sponsors of the ITV dating show. During the programme, Demi gets a text telling the contestants to prepare for a “mosh pit of love”, as they get ready for the party.

As the Islanders get dolled up and head out to the festivities, Georgia Harrison raises a toast to her fellow contestants. “Tonight could be shocking so let’s get this villa rocking,” she says – but will her prophecy come true?
