Made In Chelsea star Freddy Knatchbull was reportedly locked in a car in a terrifying kidnap ordeal.
The reality TV star was said to be shooting on the French island last year when five men shut him inside a 4×4, leaving the rest of the cast worried and wondering what was going on. According to The Sun, it wasn’t known why model Freddy – who is a great grandson of Earl Mountbatten, Prince Philip’s uncle – was targeted by the men.
“The cast were very worried,” a source was quoted as saying. “There were five burly men. They were intimidating and hostile and locked the doors of the 4×4 with Freddy inside. No one could get hold of him for ages.”

An insider said luckily “it all ended up OK”. “We had no idea what was going on and whether it was linked to money or he’d just said the wrong thing in French,” they added. “It’s been kept under lock and key ever since.”
The Made In Chelsea crew headed to Corsica to film one of the special series of the E4 show in 2023. Five episodes from their escapades on the picturesque island aired last summer.
Freddy, 20, joined the hit reality programme last year, after being introduced to show bosses by fellow model Joel Mignott. He previously told OK!: “I already knew one of the cast members, Joel.
“We met during casting calls through modelling a while back and he thought I’d make a really good fit on the show, so I believe he recommended me.
“I was obviously so excited at first because I thought it would be such a great opportunity. I knew this could open so many doors for me – possibly a career on TV.”
Freddy said his friends and family were “really happy” for him after he got the gig. “A couple of people might have had their reservations about going on TV for the world to see, but I’m ready to prove them all wrong and have some fun,” he said at the time.
Daily Star has contacted E4 and a representative for Freddy for comment.
