Our Yorkshire Farm star Ruben Owen could be set to sign up to Strictly Come Dancing.
The TV star shot to fame with mum Amanda Owen, dad Clive and his eight siblings on the Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm in 2018. The series introduced viewers to the Owen clan, and followed the family on their sprawling 2000-acre farm, Ravenseat.
But in 2022, the show was ‘axed’ by Channel 5 – leaving fans gutted. And in another blow to fans, Amanda and Clive then confirmed their separation after 22 years.

It was then reported that the pair had ended things after Amanda’s affair came to light. Since then, Reuben’s career has gone from strength to strength – bagging his own solo show on Channel 5.
Reuben: A Life in the Dales, premiered last month and follows Reuben, his now ex-girlfriend Sarah and pal Tommy, and the shenanigans they get up to across Yorkshire’s farmland. But now, it’s been claimed that Reuben could be set to swap the famous farm for Strictly.
In exclusive odds provided by BonusCodeBets, the bookies have chalked up Reuben at 25/1 to appear on the BBC show. He also has odds of 33/1 to sign up to I’m A Celeb and Love Island.
What’s more, it’s been claimed that some of these shows “align well with his persona” – however it appears mum Amanda may have some words of wisdom for him.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Dom Aldworth, Head of Brand Marketing at Slingo, said: “Reuben signing up for either “Strictly Come Dancing” or “I’m A Celebrity! Get Me Out Of Here” would be the smartest option for him to pursue.
“These shows align well with his hardworking persona and can positively showcase his determination and resilience. Farm life will no doubt have prepared Reuben for the Australian outback, as he’s used to dealing with animals and getting up close and personal with them.”
The expert then noted how stints on these shows would be “great promotion for his own Channel 5 show.” It could also help him bag a second series thanks to his “increased public profile,” according to Dom.
However, he warned that reality TV “can be a double-edged sword.” Dom explained: “Ultimately, the decision should consider Reuben’s personal comfort, career goals, and the potential long-term impact on his public image.
“Engaging in reality TV can be a double-edged sword, offering great opportunities but also significant public scrutiny if things go wrong—something I’m sure his famous mum, Amanda Owen, will undoubtedly make him aware of.”
