Outnumbered child stars unrecognisable now as spin-off series finally announced

The Outnumbered child stars are completely unrecognisable these days, after shooting to fame in the BBC sitcom.

Daniel Roche, Ramona Marquez and Tyger Drew-Honey played siblings Ben, Karen and Jake in the sitcom, and now they’ve reunited in new YouTube series Rewind to go over their best bits. 12 years after the trio last played their iconic characters for a Comic Relief special, they’re totally unrecognisable.

Outnumbered is soon set to return to our screens for a one-off Christmas special, with the entire cast reprising their roles – including Hugh Dennis as dad Pete and Claire Skinner as mum Sue.

In the new video series, Ramona can be seen with tattoos inked over both arms, wearing her brunette tresses in loose waves down past her shoulders with a full fringe. Daniel, meanwhile, rocked shoulder-length brown curls and a much deeper voice – along with the beginnings of a beard.

The trio try to see each other every year, with Tyger confessing: “It’s interesting now because you finally got to a stage where you don’t change so much every year. ‘Cause when I used to see you guys every year, you used to be about a foot wider, a foot taller, every year, and now you’re finally settled.”

After the show ended, Ramona headed off to the University of Manchester to study Spanish and Mandarin, along with announcing her romance with her new girlfriend in 2022. She was reportedly loved up with photographer Emily Caiger at the time – though it is unclear whether they’re still together.

Daniel, meanwhile, is a budding rugby star, while Tyger has continued to act – recently appearing in pantomime productions in Dorset. He’s also been involved in two documentaries about sex and the porn industry, as both his parents are big adult stars.

The Christmas special will see Sue and Pete gather their children – and a new grandchild – to attempt a traditional family Christmas. The teaser vows: “But fate, neighbours, hyenas and bus replacement services get in their way.”

Hugh Dennis gushed: “I can’t wait for the Brockmans to be back together again. Pete and Sue have downsized, the children are no longer children, but I’m sure family life will prove to be just as chaotic as ever.”

While Claire Skinner said: “I’m really looking forward to being reunited with my TV family. Working on this wonderful BBC comedy doesn’t feel like work and is one of the greatest joys for us all.”
