A video has emerged of American rapper P Diddy physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, according to reports.
The alarming surveillance footage saw Diddy violently attacking Cassie in the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles in 2016. The video, which was obtained by CNN, shows the Last Night rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs, topless with a towel wrapped around his waist, chasing singer Cassie down the hall.
As Cassie, who wore a black hoddie and jeans, attempted to escape by getting into an elevator, he was seen grabbing her by the back of the head and proceeded to slam her onto the ground. In the disturbing footage, he could be seen kicking her as she lay on the ground motionless, before grabbing the two designer bags she’d tried to escape with.

The rapper then stood over her and kicked her again. The footage then showed him dragging Cassie back to their room by the hoodie.
Two days after the incident took place in March of that year, the former couple appeared on the red carpet holding hands for the premiere of The Perfect Match. Cassie’s attorney Douglas Wigdor, shared a statement with Daily Mail regarding what happened.
He said: “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”
Last year, Cassie came forward with allegations against Diddy. In lawsuits filed since their break-up in 2018, she described a torturous relationship in which he displayed signs of coercive behaviour while also subjecting her to abuse.
Despite this, Diddy and Cassie settled the lawsuit out of court in a quick manner. According to court documents which were obtained by The Mirror, she alleged that “he raped her and perpetually abused her for years.”
When the allegations came to light, Ben Brafman, Diddy’s lawyer, previously said in a statement: “Mr. Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations. For the past six months, Mr. Combs has been subjected to Ms. Ventura’s persistent demand of $30 million, under the threat of writing a damaging book about their relationship, which was unequivocally rejected as blatant blackmail.”
