Rebekah Vardy fires back at I’m A Celebrity after being mocked by Ant and Dec

Rebekah Vardy has blasted back at ITV hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly after their remarks on I’m A Celebrity.

The model and former WAG, 42, vented her frustrations as she became the butt of the joke in the first episode of this year’s series. Kicking off on Sunday (November 17), I’m A Celebrity rolled out the red carpet as a new slew of celeb campmates made their way into he jungle.

One of the famous faces that have headed down under for the challenge is fellow WAG Coleen Rooney. However, Rebekah is less than pleased to see her on the show amid their ongoing five-year-long feud.

The rift between the two was brought up by hosts Ant and Declan just minutes into the new series as Coleen got stuck into the first of many Bushtucker trials. The Geordie duo cheekily quipped: “It’ll be nice for Coleen to face a trial that doesn’t involve Rebekah Vardy.”

Rebekah herself soon responded to the dodgy remarks, but opted not to lose her head, instead taking the moral high ground in her answer. Taking to her social media, she simply penned: “That feeling when you are living rent free in people’s heads,” followed by a slew of laughing emojis.

Attached to the response was a luscious bikini snap from her own time in jungle back in 2017. Rebekah was one of the successful campmates in her group, often bringing back a number of stars for camp to keep them well-fed, but she was eventually given the boot – becoming third campmate to be voted off.

In a second post subtly addressing comments, former WAG Rebekah shared of US President-elect Donald Trump giving advice on hate. In the clip, which she used to shade the debacle, he said: “Let them doubt you, let them criticise you because the more they throw at you, the stronger you become.”

It comes as Rebekah and Coleen’s public spat, branded “Wagatha Christie”, comes back into the spotlight thanks to Coleen’s jungle stint. In 2019, Coleen publicly accused former pal Rebekah of selling fake stories about her to the press in a dramatic post to her social media.

Rebekah vehemently denied all allegations against her and brought Coleen to court for a libel case in July of 2022. However, things did not go her way, with the judge finding Coleen’s case to be “substantially true”, ordering Rebekah to pay hundreds of thousands of pounds to cover Coleen’s legal fees.

Since then, Rebekah has instructed her legal team to keep a close eye on the ITV show in case she is asked about the debacle. She also is reported to have said she will reignite the feud if she mentions the phrase “Wagatha Christie”, as she claims to have coined the term before being used widely in the media when covering the case.

I’m A Celebrity airs every day at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
