Celebrity Big Brother star and former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne has openly shared that she’s no longer talking to an old pal and music mogul Simon Cowell.
The 71-year-old, rock manager, who is married to Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, voiced her views about Simon being “snotty”. She also pointed out his failure to get in touch with her or their mutual friend Louis Walsh before their stint on ITV’s CBB.
She further explained: “He would not call Louis or I. He is very, what’s the word? Snotty. Simon just is.”

Sharon continued by depicting Simon’s closed-off nature, saying, “He has his little posse around him, the same people he’s had for years, and that’s who he talks to. He’s not really one of these guys who’ll be like, ‘Hey great. You’ve given us a call. How are you doing? Yada, yada, yada. He’s not one of those ‘checking in’ on friends to see if you’re doing OK.”
She touched upon the once-close friendship between herself, Simon, and Louis from the initial days of appearing together on the X Factor. But due to Simon’s odd behaviour as a friend and his tendency to be reserved, it seems that camaraderie was short-lived.
According to Sharon, “We were, in the beginning, the three of us, really close friends. But then he kind of left our group and went on. But no, he’s weird as far as friends go. Very, very closed off.”, reports the Mirror.
Sharon is only appearing on the show for five days as a special guest. This follows rumours that ITV bosses couldn’t afford to keep her on for longer.
However, a spokesperson for Sharon denied claims she was earning £100,000 a day for her brief appearance. They went on to label the rumours ‘not true. ‘.
Earlier this week, a source told the Mirror that Sharon had struck a ‘special deal’ with the show’s bosses because she didn’t want to do the entire series. The insider revealed: “Sharon didn’t fancy the full slog on the show and she knew how much the bosses wanted her, so she made a special deal.
“She isn’t staying for the full show but is still taking home one of the biggest pay cheques.” ITV insiders said she was their top choice to ensure the new series “has The X Factor ” and starts with a bang.
Now in her 70s, Sharon insists that appearing on CBB isn’t an attempt to revive her career. She explained: “I’ve already done it all.
“I’ve done theatre, I’ve done TV. I’ve done everything I wanted to do. That’s why, with something like CBB, it’s to be enjoyed.
“It’s a great experience and that’s literally it. I’m just here for the laugh and that’s liberating, very liberating.”
*Celebrity Big Brother continues tomorrow night on ITV from 9pm.
