Strictly Come Dancing fans in tears as winner ‘confirmed’ just four weeks in

Strictly fans have already predicted who will be this year’s winner – and they’ve been left in tears.

Viewers have been sending waves of praise for Chris McCausland after his latest show-stopping performance, dubbing him the champion-to-be. The 47-year-old star delivered an absolute banger of a salsa with Dianne Buswell on Saturday’s live spectacle.

Chris, making history as Strictly’s first blind contestant, wowed the judges and had viewers at home on their feet. Anton Du Beke was heard giving him a “remarkable” nod while an army of admirers took to social media, once known as Twitter, to express their support.

A fan clearly taken by Chris’ charm mentioned: “Chris has been my winner from week one and I can’t see that changing.” Another viewer, moved to tears, declared: “Crying again at Chris McCausland on #Strictly. He’s got to be the winner this year.”

A third supporter shared some heartfelt enthusiasm: “Really rooting for Chris and Dianne. Hoping they make it all the way to the final and win. So impressive to do those lifts without being able to see and then the little extra flourish at the end. Utterly fab-u-lous!!”

One enthusiastic tweet read: “I have nothing to say except @chrismccausland and @dbuzz6589 MUST win the series! It’s just phenomenal to see! ! There’s a lot of fabulous dancers this year and I’m enjoying them all but Chris to win with Tasha in the final also”.

Strictly fans were also up in arms mere moments into this week’s show as a bunch of them flocked to X, after spotting that hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman had skipped their signature grand entrance. One wrote: “So now Tess and Claudia don’t even walk out?” While another asked: “Who are these presenters? You’d think they’d introduce them.”

One more typed “I’m really missing Tess and Claudia emerging onto stage to kick the show off.” Another scribed: “Tess and Claudia are ready on the studio floor without a full introduction… Are the BBC running late? It would be great if the couples being introduced are coming down the stairs with the main Strictly theme tune.”
