Strictly fans were up in arms mere moments into this week’s show with some so peeved they even threatened to hit the off button.
Viewers flocked to X, which used to be Twitter, in a right huff after spotting that hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman had skipped their signature grand entrance. Instead of sashaying down from the stairs like showbiz royalty, the duo was already perched on-set, ready for action.
Straight away, one miffed fan dashed off: “So now Tess and Claudia don’t even walk out? ” While another puzzled punter asked: “Who are these presenters? You’d think they’d introduce them.”

One long-time viewer lamented: “I’m really missing Tess and Claudia emerging onto stage to kick the show off.” Some questioned if poor time management was at play as they posted: “Tess and Claudia are ready on the studio floor without a full introduction… Are the BBC running late? It would be great if the couples being introduced are coming down the stairs with the main Strictly theme tune.”
“Do Tess and Claudia not get their moment to shine anymore? What’s with them just popping up at the start now? Is Alan Dedicoat having a lie-in or something? ” quipped another confused fan.
Eagle-eyed viewers copped a “creepy” gaffe in last week’s episode of Strictly, as audience members’ legs were on show for the full program, shining out like beacons amid the blue strobe lights behind the judges.
One peeved fan moaned: “Rather unfortunate positioning of two lady audience members on Strictly Come Dancing tonight. Looks like the loo door has been left open.”
Another chimed in: “The legs on show behind the judges were distracting!” Laughing off the glitch, one viewer remarked: “My husband thought it was the Halloween show and that this was some bizarre set decoration,” while another irked fan vented their frustration: “I’m glad it wasn’t just me: annoyed me all evening!”
Chuffed to have a common gripe, someone piped up: “I came here to post this too! ” and suggested a fix: “They really need to fill those gaps with additional up lighters so we don’t have to see disembodied legs what if they did a Sharon Stone?!”
Strictly has bid adieu to two celebs this season, waving goodbye to Toyah Willcox and Olympian Tom Dean. Meanwhile, bookmakers are sweating over Paul Merson’s future following his nail-biting dance-off scare last week.
DIY SOS’s Nick Knowles had to sit out of the latest spectacle owing to a nasty double injury but, fear not, hes making a comeback this week after some well-deserved R&R.
