Sydney Sweeney ‘won’t stop’ doing nude scenes as co-star ‘can’t look’ at her

Sydney Sweeney refuses to stop stripping off for racy scenes – despite her co-star being so embarrassed that he couldn’t look the camera crew in the eye in Anyone But You.

The Euphoria actress has “no problem” with nakedness and has “become very confident” in showing her body off on-screen. Speaking back in 2022, she admitted: “People forget that I’m playing a character. They think, ‘Oh, she gets naked on-screen, she’s a sex symbol.’

“And I can’t get past that. I have no problems with those scenes, and I won’t stop doing them, but I wish there was an easier way to have an open conversation about what we’re assuming about actors in the industry.”

Sydney added: “I find empowerment through embracing the body that I have. That’s sexy and strong, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.”

She’s even defended Euphoria director Sam Levinson for his sexually explicit scenes, telling Variety: “You have me, you have Z, you have all of these very strong-minded, independent women. If we didn’t feel comfortable with something, or we saw something we didn’t like, we’d all speak up.

“It’s hard to see someone completely trashed by the public and the media when no one’s actually there. We are there, and clearly we’re still working on the show, and we’re still supportive. It’s not, ‘Oh, here’s a pair of t*ts.’ It’s just real.”

Her mum “visited her on set all the time” and knew what was going on in her saucy scenes – but Sydney “didn’t prepare” her dad for what he was about to see. And when he finally watched, she confessed: “My dad and my grandpa turned it off and walked out.”

She quipped: “How do you bring up a conversation? And also, when I talk to my dad, it’s usually not about work. He decided he was going to watch it without telling me, with his parents.”

Meanwhile, her rom-com co-star Glen Powell confessed that after getting steamy with Sydney in a sudsy shower scene, he struggled to look at her or the rest of the crew the same way again. He told E! News: “When we were doing that, there were other people weighing in on what we should do in that scene.

“I was like, ‘I don’t like when crew members are weighing in on how I should do a sexy shower scene.’” Afterwards, he said: “You’re like, ‘That is weird, man. Can’t look at you the same way’.”

Sydney confessed: “There’s always an awkward moment, but I don’t know if it’s because you’re so close to someone other than the 40 crew members that are watching you film this – that’s the awkward part. If anything, I feel more safe with someone who I’m friends with than some people that you don’t really know.”
