Taylor Swift fans were ecstatic as she “finally” performed two new surprise songs during her recent concert.
Fans who attended the rain-soaked show in Hamburg were treated to a performance they won’t forget. During the acoustic portion of the show, Swift played two fan favourite songs that have never been heard during an Eras Tour show.
Beginning with the section with “Teardrops On My Guitar” from her debut album and moving swiftly into “The Last Time” from the iconic Red era, Swift had more nostalgic moments lined up when it came time for her second round on stage.
Fearless Vault track “We Were Happy” and “Happiness” from the celebrated Evermore album were seamlessly blended together and fans were thrilled.
Before she started, Swift joyfully warned the audience “These next ones I’ve never played live, so wish me luck.”
Judging by the crowd’s resounding approval, the superstar didn’t need to worry, reports the Mirror.
Reacting to the surprise songs on X, Swifties dubbed “Happiness” and “We Were Happy” the “perfect pairing”.
Elsewhere, another fan added: “I can’t believe she played it without me.”
Someone else agreed: “I’ve been wanting this mashup for the longest time and she FINALLY DELIVERED! I’m obsessed!”
“Teardrops On My Guitar” x “The Last Time” proved to be equally popular, with one fan calling Swift’s selection the “perfect choice”. Others loved the Debut album throwback and shared their excitement for Taylor’s Version, which has yet to be released.
“I CANNOT WAIT FOR DEBUT TV!” penned one such fan. In response, another joked: “My new mostly joking clownery is that this means Debut TV will be announced on the last tour date (the last time).”
