The Traitors presenter Claudia Winkleman has jokingly claimed her famous fringe is the secret behind her TV success – and that she’d still be a “virgin” without it.
Speaking during her Behind The Fringe tour previously, the 51-year-old divulged that without her iconic hairdo, she would have been a “virgin” appearing like a “dinosaur”. She admitted: “People ask what I am hiding with my fringe – and it’s a massive forehead that is repellent.”
She further added: “I was born with six extra teeth like a little dinosaur. When people saw me smile they screamed. But when I was 21 and a virgin, I got my fringe and everything started happening.”

Claudia said her transformation began from there. She said her unique sense of style, combined with her blunt, bold fringe, eyeliner and tanned skin sparked her TV career.
Claudia initially graced BBC screens in 2004, when she hosted the Strictly spin-off, It Takes Two. She remained in this role until the eighth series, after which she was promoted to present the Sunday results on the main show.
Taking over from Bruce Forsyth in 2014, Claudia quickly became a household name dominating Saturday night television. Before her big break, Claudia was a travel writer in her early twenties and landed her first major role on the BBC show Holiday in 1991.
As her fame grew, her journalism career took a backseat. Besides TV, Claudia has also worked on radio shows.
Now, she’s back on screens as the devious host of The Traitors, which returned for its second series earlier this month. So far, she’s given the contestants a hard time as they’ve only managed to catch one of the trickster Traitors and are halfway through.
