This Morning fans beg ‘bring her back’ as star makes huge error just seconds into show

This Morning fans begged “bring Josie back!” as they tired of the current ITV line-up – and one star made a huge error just seconds into the programme.

Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley were once again hosting the show on Tuesday (March 26) when they cut to style expert Gok Wan to introduce his upcoming Style SOS segment. Standing with three women, Gok explained he’d be giving them each a make-over, before asking “Claire” to explain what her fashion concerns are.

He introduced the segment by quipping: “As you can see here, we’re not the new Girls Aloud band. We are actually in the fashion cupboard, we’ve got three of our gorgeous viewers who have all written in and asked for my help with their wardrobe. So Claire, why do you want my help?”

The woman corrected him: “Carol would like your help…” and Gok was left red-faced as he insisted: “Did I call you Claire? I’m so sorry Carol! We’ve only just met!” He promised to learn his co-stars’ names as the show went on, and Carol explained she’d gone through chemotherapy after being diagnosed with cancer and wanted to change up her style as a result.

Next to her, the real Claire said she’d lost 10 stone and wanted to adapt her style, while last guest Lisa had gained weight during menopause and needed to know how to accentuate her curves and feel confident again.

But while Ben and Cat did their best to project joviality in the studio, fans were already missing host Josie Gibson. One turned to X to write: “Bring back Josie!” As someone else agreed: “So many people they could have chosen… Josie, Alison. I’m just not feeling this partnership and only dipping in occasionally now. Sorry #ThisMorning.”

Fans aren’t happy about Cat and Ben presenting

Somebody else said: “Already missing Josie.” And another viewer penned: “In true Bullseye style watching #ThisMorning feels like seeing what we could’ve won, if they had chosen the fun Dermot and Josie instead of Cat and Boring Ben.” A fifth posted: “This Ben and Cat duo just doesn’t work, no chemistry whatsoever #ThisMorning.”

Josie did pop up later in the programme to present the competition segment, but fans are desperate to see her take up her place at the helm of the show again. She recently hosted alongside Martin Lewis, and has been paired with Dermot O’Leary in the past few weeks.

It comes after the show was left in chaos last week after a technical blunder, as the camera on Craig Doyle’s beauty segment cut out during a trip to Battersea Power Station. He’d headed there for a ‘zit’ treatment and left fans fuming over “product placement”.

Viewers watching at home rushed to social media to point out the blunder. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “How ironic that they lost power to the Power Station.” Another added: “It’s funny. Couldn’t get a signal in an old power station.” A third joked: “The signal going in Battersea Power Station, they get a better signal when they speak to Ross in LA #ThisMorning.”
