Alex Scott and Jess Glynne’s date night after I’m A Celeb star snubs show final

After being separated for just under two weeks, Jess Glynne and Alex Scott made the most of their renewed connection, enjoying a fun night out at London’s Hyde Park in the wake of Alex’s I’m a Celeb stint

I’m A Celebrity star Alex Scott has enjoyed an intimate date night with her partner Jess Glynne, after her stint in the I’m A Australian jungle. Alex, 41, swapped the scorching heat for cosy layers as she and songstress Jess braved the chilly weather to enjoy a festive event at London’s Hyde Park.

The couple were spotted having a laugh and relishing each other’s company after being apart after football pundit Alex headed down under for the ITV show. The pair were seen enjoying rides and strolling around the theme park with friends, soaking in the sights.

Alex and Jess were seen tackling the ice slide, donning orange safety helmets as they slid down the frosty ramp on inflatable rubber rings. They lined up to go down the ramp multiple times, with Alex capturing the thrilling moments on her mobile phone as she slid down the fast-paced ramp, in a tender moment between the two lovers.

They were also seen shrieking with joy as they experienced a rollercoaster ride, speeding through its twists and turns. This fun-filled outing comes after the former Arsenal footballer and sports pundit missed the I’m A Celebrity final, having been the first celebrity to exit the camp on November 28 after two weeks in Australia, according to the Mirror.

Alex was the only star from the series not to return to see Angry Ginge crowned the King of the jungle. At the time of her departure, Alex confessed that she had almost withdrawn from the show at the eleventh hour due to her girlfriend Jess Glynne’s mother suffering a medical emergency when she had a stroke.

After her eviction from the camp, Alex broke I’m A Celeb tradition and immediately returned to the UK to be with her girlfriend of two years during this challenging period. Typically, evicted campmates stay at the luxurious JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort and Spa, where they unwind and readjust to life outside the jungle until the grand finale.

After her exit, Alex shared: “It’s been tough because I want to be here for the wrap party and I have to get home straight away. She’s my Jessica, and I’m going home to be her rock.

“My campmates knew what I was going through and I just want to thank everyone at ITV and my campmates because they’ve all shown me so much support.” Fans became aware of Jess’ mum’s situation when Alex was met on the exit bridge by her friend Regan Coleman instead of Jess.

The singer then took to Instagram to explain her absence. She posted: “I know people will wonder why I wasn’t there at the end of the bridge, so I wanted to share something personal.

“Over the last few weeks, my mum suffered a stroke and needed urgent brain surgery,” she revealed. “It’s been a really serious, life-altering time for my family, and I’ve had to stay close to home; Alex would always want me to be where I’m needed most.”

Since then, Alex has thrown herself back into work, eagerly promoting huge football events such as the World Cup that will hit our screens next year. The tournament will take place across North America, but tickets are set to cost as much as £15,000, leaving many fans priced out.
