ITV fans of the iconic sitcom Benidorm are adamant that producers are recording an eleventh series of the show after one massive clue sparked rumours online
Benidorm fans think producers are working on one last series.
Whispers are swirling around Benidorm that something big is on the horizon, and it’s got everything to do with the beloved telly series named after the sunny Spanish resort.
Even though Derren Litten, the show’s creator, had previously declared the tenth series was the finale back in 2019 but a TikToker has caught sight of a film crew in Benidorm and leapt to the conclusion that they were shooting the much-anticipated series 11.
@harrytokky captioned his recent video showing a film crew outside the Red Lion pub: “Breaking news. Film crews are filming right now in Benidorm outside the Red Lion”.
“Wait… are they filming Benidorm series 11 right now?! What do you think?”
The clip showed the crew in action, with Harry exclaiming: “Holy moly, this is unbelievable”. Off-camera, voices speculated about the return of the beloved ITV series, reports the Mirror.
However the comments section were filled with doubt and one user squashed the rumours: “I doubt they’d film in peak season,” while another person countered: “Another 4 weeks until peak season. They film in the Solana with people on holiday there. They just close off one end of the pool”.
“They use the tourists as extras in Benidorm, it’s common knowledge,” claimed another bloke.
Some argued that it couldn’t possibly be Benidorm filming since none of the iconic actors were spotted in the footage. One person vented: “Not hard to tell if it’s Benidorm or not.”
While another remarked: “Not to be a Debbie Downer, but Benidorm hasn’t officially been commissioned, so unless this is for an announcement ad (which I highly doubt), it’s not Benidorm unfortunately”.
Yet, someone else speculated: “Makes sense it would be Benidorm though, cause Darren and all the main cast have been cryptic as anything lately online trying to hint to the fans about a season 11 coming, wouldn’t talk about it if there was no chance and now this. I’d say it’s likely I can’t lie”.
