EXCLUSIVE: Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz relationship has been under scrutiny since reports of a wider-Beckham family feud imploded at the start of May. Now, an insider of the pair shared some insight
An insider close to Brooklyn Beckham leapt to the lad’s defence over his 70 Nicola Peltz tattoos revealing, ‘he takes after his dad’.
The eldest Beckham child, 26, has been caught up in a family feud after he and wife Nicola, 30, missed David Beckham’s 50th birthday bash, allegedly imploding previous tensions.
Since the beginning of May, continuous claims about the couple and their marriage have been made – including from camp Posh and Becks.
Friends of the power couple suggested that Nicola and Brooklyn have an “unhealthy marriage”, which they say is evident in his vast collection of tattoos dedicated to his wife. While friends of Nicola claimed that David and Victoria are “emotionally abusive and toxic.”
The lad has been grilled for his breathing Nicola exhibit, which includes an inking of her eyes on the back of his neck and a tribute to her late-gran, Gina.
However, a close source of Brooklyn and Nicola has now exclusively chatted to Daily Star – putting the lad’s motives of the ink collection to bed.
In a chat with us, an insider of Brooklyn and Nicola’s circle explained: “It makes no sense to judge Brooklyn for his tattoos which are expressions of love for his wife.
“He takes after his dad who has numerous tattoos dedicated to Victoria and his children, including a portrait of Victoria.”
It is known that much of the Beckham family are fond of body art, including Victoria and David Beckham. Back in 2007, Becks went under the tattoo gun to get a lingerie-clad portrait of Posh inked onto his left forearm.
Son Brooklyn has a similar portrait of Nicola inked onto his upper arm, along with the drawing of her eyes on his nape that is placed just above a love letter from the American socialite – who he married in a lavish Miami ceremony in 2022.
Is the eldest Beckham lad, who resides in the US with Nicola, just wanting to creatively show his love for his wife like his dad has also done – or is there something more to it?
Well, Thomas Westenholz, couples therapist and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) specialist, revealed that getting a tattoo of a partner can be a sign of love – or a “cry” for wanting connection in a state of “identity loss”.
The relationship therapist claimed: “Tattoos can be love, or a cry for fusion. If you’re covering your body with someone else’s face, it might be less about devotion and more about identity loss. Passion isn’t always the same as emotional health.”
“[Having that many tattoos] often says: ‘I need to make this permanent, because I don’t feel secure inside.’ Obsession with symbols can point to insecurity in the bond itself.
“Sometimes we ink what we’re afraid to lose.”
“It can be meaningful – if it’s coming from wholeness, not desperation. A tattoo won’t fix trust issues or make someone stay. Ink is permanent; relationships aren’t always.
“Know the difference.”
Daily Star approached both Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s representatives and David and Victoria Beckham’s management for comment.
