Dancing on Ice kicked off their live final tonight by welcoming three contestants to the rink – by fans couldn’t help but notice once detail which left them fuming
Dancing on Ice viewers have been left furious after they noticed one ‘ridiculous’ detail during tonight’s live final.
Kicking off their fight for the crown, former footballer Anton Ferdinand, Coronation Street actor Sam Aston and wildlife presenter Michaela Strachan took to the ice to perform the first of their three performances. Their first dances, choreographed for them by the judges, provided a mixed reaction online. Forerunner appeared to be Michaela, who dances alongside her professional partner, Mark Hanretty. She was branded as “beautiful” by viewers on X.
However, that same praise didn’t reach for the other performers. Fans were particularly annoyed by that fact judges appeared to be over scoring the celebrities, who all achieved 10s across the board.
One enraged fan wrote: “Clearly the judges have their orders. 10 for everyone, so leave it to US! Pathetic.” Another added: “To me the 3 showcase routines have been awful, they didn’t show off what the celebs could do. More show than skating.”
A third said: “Not impressed at all by Jane & Chris‘s choreography for Michaela (hardly any skating, just her being constantly lifted up by the professionals) and Sam (chasing Annette like a maniac round the rink).
“Anton is the least talented but got the best routine. Favouritism?”
A fourth user even suggested the celebrities should be competing for Team GB for figure skating, given their scores, which they of course believed to be inflated because of the final.
While there was plenty of rage towards the judge’s scores, some fans believed they knew who would win just minutes into the show. Current favourite Michaela appears to be at the forefront, and fans are sure she will claim the top prize by the end of the night.
Taking to X, fans shared their thoughts as hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern kicked off live proceedings, before Michaela even took to the ice.
One viewer predicted: “Rooting for Michaela though all the way,” as another added: “Michaela and Mark for the win.” A third viewer posted: “Michaela is winning,” as a fourth fan posted: “Michaela needs to win.”
