A famous 90s actress entered headlines after a shock arrest which saw her accused of an alleged assault – with some fans left concerned she was ‘homeless’ and living on Skid Row
Bad Boys and Beverley Hills Cops star Theresa Randle grew to fame in the 90s with her bombshell appearance – but has since suffered a fall from grace which left her ‘homeless on Skid Row’.
Fans of the star were left “concerned” after a video emerged showing the actress on the infamous Skid Row in California. The unofficial name for the neighbourhood in Downtown Los Angeles, officially known as Central City East, is known for its high concentration of homelessness and related issues.
Some fans were concerned that Randle, who was seen in the area, could be homeless following a successful on-screen career.
Randle appeared on the Hollywood scene in the late 80s. After an audition with tough casting agents in the early 90s, she landed a role in the film Malcolm X (1992) alongside Denzel Washington.
Following this, she gained more big parts including playing Janice Perkins, Eddie Murphy’s love interest, in Beverly Hills Cop III, premiered in 1994. The star was also in the 1996 classic, Space Jam.
Randle took on her most noted role of Theresa Burnett, the wife of Martin Lawrence’s character Marcus Burnett, in the Bad Boys movies. When it came back in 2020 for a third film, the star was approached by Will Smith to appear in her role again. Speaking to the press, she was thrilled.
She told the Los Angeles Times : “She still remains laughing at both of them because they want to be so grown, so mature.
“They’re still the same Mike [Will Smith] and Marcus that she’s always known. And she still has to come in between them. Nothing has really changed.”
But, Randle did not appear in the fourth film, Bad Boys: Ride Or Die. The film, which came out last year, failed to include her, which led to fans doing some investigating.
A worrying video of Randle emerged just a couple of days after the news dropped that her role would be replaced by actress Tasha Smith. In the footage, a concerned fan showed her on Skid Row.
The star was precariously walking through the street while leaning on a walking frame. She was dressed in a shabby outfit complete with a brown cap.
While not immediately clear, her former manager Roger Neal confirmed it was his ex-client. “That’s definitely her. 100 percent,” he said to RadarOnline at the time, and added that the clip raised “concerns” for her welfare. But the publicist said he was not in contact with her.
However, some said the star was simply there to help others and not on the street for personal reasons. Since then, Randle had not been seen in public.
That changed when she reentered headlines when she was arrested for felony assault in Los Angeles. Randle was detained following an incident that happened on October 5, 2024.
There was an alleged assault at the house. When police got there, it was said Randle had already left the building. Two days later police were called out again to an alleged domestic violence issue and restraining order violation at the same house.
Police arrested for an alleged felony assault that occurred on October 5, 2024 when they got there.
The movie star appeared in court on October 9, 2024, but the District Attorney notably rejected the case.
