Justin Bieber poked fun at Stevie Wonder as the pair caught up in a video call.

But while fans have become increasingly anxious about the Sorry’s singer’s mental health, Justin appeared worlds away from the drama. Taking to his Instagram story on Thursday (April 10), the hitmaker revealed he had been speaking with legendary musician Stevie Wonder.

Sharing a screenshot of the pair on the call, Justin appeared to beam with smiles, while Stevie kept his camera off during the chat. Uploading the snap of the chat, Justin put the picture to the tune of Stevie’s smash hit “Overjoyed”.

However, this was not the only thing that Justin mentioned about his pal Stevie as the duo had a much-needed catch up. Poking fun at the 25-time Grammy winner’s life-long blindness, Justin penned: “This fool never sees my FaceTimes!”

Stevie’s blindness has played a key role in his success and superstardom. The Superstitious singer revealed in a heart-wrenching interview with former US President Barack Obama that he was able to see when he was a young child, but “shortly after that”, he went blind.

Chatting with Obama for the Wonder of Stevie podcast, he went on to say that his mother would cry “every night”, until Stevie himself had to intervene, saying: “Mama, you shouldn’t cry; you’re making my head hurt.”

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame star added: “And I said, ‘Maybe God has something for me that’s bigger than all this.’ History proved that true.”

Stevie and Justin have performed together on two separate occasions in 2011. At a charity show in Los Angeles, the pair performed a stirring duet of his song “Someday at Christmas “, while the pair also teamed up to sing “The Christmas Song” during the American version of The X Factor.

A few days ago, the What Do You Mean singer asked his fans to give him ideas on who he would want to make some music with – receiving a slew of suggestions, including Stevie. As well as this, fellow Canadian Drake confirmed that he had reached out.

However, it seems Yummy singer Justin did not respond to Drake’s comment as Drake said: “I DM’d but no reply.” Other singers also appeared to throw their hats into the ring including Jaden Smith and Kehlani.

Justin has been teasing new music in recent weeks, but has not given any indication as to when his new tracks will drop. His last full-length album, Justice, was released back in 2021.

In the caption for the rude pic, Justin wrote: “POV: me behind my girlfriend after she makes me mad.” The pic stayed up for just a matter of moments before being taken down again, but fans of the star have admitted they are growing concerned for the pair’s relationship.
