Liam Gallagher is taking his rescue pooch on his blockbuster Oasis tour because he can’t bear to be separated from the mutt.

The rock and legend flew Buttons to the UK from Thailand after spotting the abandoned dog on the centre’s Instagram page. Liam, 52, was immediately smitten and now can’t stand being separated from his furry friend.

He’s arranging to have Buttons hit the road with him when the long-awaited reunion tour begins and be backstage at his gigs. A source told us: “Liam isn’t the same without Buttons and so he wants her around when the tour starts in July.

“Buttons is the most spoiled pooch but Liam and partner Debbie would not have it any other way. They are inseparable and having Buttons with him will be a great release from the pressures of touring.

“Instead of hitting the booze on tour, he can hit the great outdoors and take his dog for a walk.”

He adopted the puppy in 2023 after she was rescued by Irishman Niall Harbison at his Thai dog refuge.

The singer fell for crossbreed Buttons in Koh Samui where the dog had checked herself into Niall’s jungle rescue after being abandoned by her family for “no longer being cute enough”.

Niall explained that he took Buttons on the 30-hour trip to London to meet her new rockstar family on a journey that involved boats, taxis, planes, ferries, trains and finally a private car.

He said: “To say she was happy when she arrived would be an understatement. She immediately befriended all the humans. Buttons did this all by herself by plucking up that courage initially looking for a better life.

“She’s relaxed at home, has settled in and is very much loved. The best girl there ever was.

“I knew the second she set foot there she was home. She knew it too. What a feeling. After three months in foster care she was ready to travel 10,000kms across the world.

The Oasis front man also raised £25,000 for the charity that facilitated the doggy adoption(Image: liamgallagher/Instagram)

“She was a very brave girl and her life has changed forever. From being dumped in the Thai jungle to this. You couldn’t make it up.”

The Rocker was even awarded PETA’s prestigious “Strike the Right Chord for Animals Award” for his gallant efforts, which also saw him raise £25,000 for the Happy Doggo sanctuary that made the adoption possible, and enabled Buttons to find her fur-ever home in Blighty.

Previously Liam said: “She brings so much happiness to our lives and everyone she meets. We’re so lucky to have her. We’re obsessed.”
