Oasis are back on tour this week with Liam and Noel Gallagher reuniting for the first time in 19 years and the full line-up of the band has been revealed in the tour programme
Oasis have introduced a new female member as they unveiled the full line-up for their Live 25 tour, despite her never having seen the band perform live before. The Oasis concerts commence on Friday at Cardiff’s Principality stadium, with two nights there before heading to Manchester’s Heaton Park.
The initial line-up includes Liam Gallagher as the lead singer and Noel Gallagher on guitar, joined by close friends and regulars Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, Gem Archer and Andy Bell. New drummer Joey Waronker, who toured with Liam Gallagher and John Squire last year, also joins the band.
However, the tour programme also lists additional musicians performing with the band: Christian Madden on keyboards, Jess Greenfield on backing vocals, Alastair White on trombone, Steve Hamilton on saxophone, and Joe Auckland on trumpet. Jess Greenfield is a key part of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and a singer/songwriter in her own right, including being part of London-based soul ensemble Wonder 45.

Balancing home life with touring with bands, she is a working mum who has spoken about this in interviews. In February, on the podcast Behind The Curtain, she was asked about the Oasis reunion and said: “I found out pretty much when everyone else did. I’d heard rumours and then I heard for definite two days before through someone else. Yeah It was definitely a shock.
“I’d love to go. Hopefully Wembley cos it is Wembley. It’s amazing and the last time they performed those songs properly was in the Nineties when I was a teenager and I didn’t go to the gigs back in the day,” reports the Mirror.
“So it will be nice to see it as an adult. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Jess also opened up about the struggle of balancing the thrill of touring with the subsequent low you experience in everyday life.
Speaking candidly, she said: “Touring does fill an ego cup, like people saying I am a great performer and I can go to the gym and am surrounded by mates. But when you haven’t got the cup it goes down again and as a mum I don’t have time to go to the gym or put my makeup on. It is not always obtainable.
“Touring is an amazing thing, but it is addictive.”
Jess was initially recommended to Noel by a music mate and didn’t audition. She simply had a chat with Noel and then joined him on tour for six weeks in the States in 2018, showcasing her talent and has been with him ever since.
In 2019 she told Rolling Stone: “Noel and the guys are amazing. Getting to travel the world and play in front of thousands of people is a real dream come true.”
Trumpet player Joe Auckland, saxophonist Steve Hamilton and Trombonist Alastair White have also collaborated with Noel in his band The High Flying Birds, while Christian Madden plays keyboard with Liam. The programme also credits Bonehead as playing both guitar and piano on tour.
Noel and Liam are set to share the stage for the first time in public since their band’s split nearly two decades ago, with a performance scheduled for Friday in Cardiff. The tour will also include performances in Manchester, London and Dublin.
