Former S Club 7 star Jon Lee os hoping to find love this series of Celebs Go Dating – and he’s not holding back. But it turns out it’s been a while since he’s been in the sack…
It’s that time of year again when a selection of gorgeous single celebrities enter the Celebs Go Dating agency hoping to discover their perfect match.
Former S Club 7 member Jon Lee is among the singleton stars seeking romance this series – and he’s being refreshingly candid.
Dating gurus Anna Williamson and Paul C Brunson have returned to assist the famous faces, joined by relationship expert Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn, but this time there’s a twist. For the very first time, the celebrities will jet off to Ibiza during the opening week with one of their selected dates.
In tonight’s premiere episode on E4, the stars – including Jon, Kerry Katona, Christine McGuinness and Love Island’s Olivia Hawkins – mingled at a London event. Following the mixer, they were surprised with the news that they needed to choose one date for the unexpected Balearic adventure.
But before the drama unfolded, the celebrities shared intimate details with the cameras and their potential partners, with the S Club legend being remarkably frank.
Speaking to camera, the 43-year-old former pop sensation revealed that if he had to select an S Club track to sum up his romantic experiences, he’d pick Bring The House Down because his love life “is a car crash”, reports the Mirror.
The star then disclosed he’d been unattached for six years, confessing: “And in that whole time, that means I’ve been celibate as well.”
Cheeky narrator Rob Beckett couldn’t resist chiming in with his commentary, joking: “Six years no sex? This guy must be blocked up like a bad drain! Umbrellas out people – he could blow at any moment!” The star is set to drop more bombshells throughout the series. While filming in Ibiza a few months ago, Dr Tara revealed that Jon was about to make a “shocking revelation”.
“Jon has had a really interesting journey since S Club and I know a lot of it hasn’t been shared anywhere else. It’s a really interesting and insightful investigation into what really has been happening in his life since S Club and what he’s been doing in the recent years,” she disclosed.
“One of his revelations shocked me,” Tara confessed, naming Jon as the celebrity who surprised her the most in the agency.
“I thought Jon would come in a lot more guarded but he’s not,” Tara revealed. “He’s ready to bare it all emotionally and it’s a beautiful thing. I’ve been learning a lot about him already, and I have to say it’s a very touching story.”
Meanwhile, in the debut episode of the series, fans saw Olivia getting cosy with Too Hot To Handle star Russell. Will there be romance in the air in Ibiza?
