Reality TV star dies at 30 after health battle left her weighing just 3.5 stone

Reality TV star Nihal Candan has passed away aged 30 after she tragically lost her battle with anorexia.

The Turkish influencer died in hospital on Saturday (June 21) and weighed just three and a half stone during her last day on earth.

According to reports, Nihal lost almost 40kg in the last two years and was undergoing treatment at the time of her death. However, doctors claim her heart stopped working and they were unfortunately unable to revive her.

Her heartbroken sister announced the news online who said she rang the hospital last week for an update on her sister’s wellbeing.

Her sibling was sadly told that her heart had stopped beating and she was currently having CPR performed on her – but was later confirmed dead.

Nihal’s fans have since paid tribute to her online as she describe her as a “beautiful” woman.

One fan wrote: “I literally cried over this. She was so young and beautiful,” said one.

A second added: “You left this world too early … But the energy, smile and memories you left behind are still with us.”

The Federation of Women’s Association of Turkey shared a statement following the star’s death,which read: “Nihal Candan’s death due to anorexia nervosa once again reveals that the pressures and impositions placed on women’s bodies by society can reach deadly levels.

“This issue also reflects a broader problem of inequality. It is something we must discuss and debate extensively.”
