Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has been commended by spectators for delivering a powerful speech praising the continued support of foreign NHS workers.
Piers Morgan who is often likened to Marmite – you either love him or you hate him – seemed to hit the nail on the head with his impactful and emotional delivery this week.
As the coronavirus continues to reap havoc across the globe, the NHS workforce has continued to thrive and deliver a spectacular service to the United Kingdom, despite facing devastating consequences themselves.
With the Covid-19 death toll continually on the rise daily, the country is now dependant on all frontline heroes who are currently battling to save lives.
Virology experts have advised that working so closely to those largely infected with the virus, will bare a greater risk of contracting a nastier strain of Covid-19.

Piers certainly didn’t want it to go unnoticed that many of those still serving this country, with great honour, were in fact ‘immigrant NHS workers’ who stand united in hope of combating the deadly coronavirus.
As the nation woke to learn of Boris Jonhson’s condition, it is no wonder that Piers’ heartfelt words struck a nerve with the nation, with his speech reaching over 4 million viewers, who all seemed to concur with the ordinarily controversial presenter.
Addressing the bravery of NHS workers, adding special praise to those in the NHS from overseas, Piers said: “A lovely Filipino woman who works for me – she was on Zoom to her friends yesterday, and they all worked for the NHS.

“I didn’t know that. I didn’t realise every single one of them works for the NHS.”
He added: “All her friends work for the NHS. We forget about this extraordinary workforce which comes from all around the world.”
Piers had jotted down the names of all her friends and wanted to provide a shout out to each and everyone of them live on air.

Continuing he said: “They’re helping everybody right now. Outstanding care.
“It’s worth bearing in mind when we talk about immigrants in this country, these are the immigrants currently saving people’s lives. Coming here and actually enriching our country and doing an amazing job.”
Concluding his impactful delivery, he added: “Thank you to all the Filipinos who are here doing all this amazing work and every other immigrant working in the NHS.
“I hope at the end of this we have a different sentiment about what immigration has done for this country”
He later took to his Twitter account to tell fans he was pleased with the response, sharing the snippet, Piers penned: “This clearly hit a nerve with people. Good.”
