Wayne Lineker chooses date from swimsuit-clad women by shoving rejects into pool

Wayne Lineker has been criticised for choosing a date from his Ibiza beach club staff in a “skin-crawling” video.

The 58-year-old, who is football legend Gary Lineker’s brother, was filmed picking his “dream doll” as a row of orange swimsuit-clad women lined up at the edge of a swimming pool waiting for him.

Video posted on his Instagram shows him placing his hands on the women’s chests before shoving them into the pool as he eliminates the “candidates”.

Wayne speaks to the camera at his O Beach Ibiza: “It’s time for me to pick which dream doll I’m taking out on a date.”

He cleans his hands with a few pumps of sanitiser and walks to the women.

The rule is to reject the ones he doesn’t wish to date by pushing them into the pool and the last woman standing will be his date.

The women are heard screaming and saying “no, please” before being shoved in the chest.

Former Love Island star Katie Salmon is crowned the winner and ho is heard telling Wayne: “Obviously I’m the champion.”

The clip was shared on Twitter with nearly 3 million views and viewers slammed him for his “grim” and “disgraceful” moves.

One said: “Disgusting and wrong in so many ways. I feel sorry for those girls.”

Another one wrote: “Literally makes my skin crawl.”

Wayne responded to the criticism with an Instagram post and said he wouldn’t care for the hate comments.

He wrote: “I’m still here and going nowhere.️ I was trending No1 in the Uk on twitter yesterday with 75% love and 25% hate.

“But it was the hate that sparked the trending.. It’s the 75 that I care about…

“The rest of you mean absolutely nothing to me and never will so hate all you like.

“Just please remember I have children that I love and care about and your weirdo basement loser comments may hurt them and that’s not cool.

“Thing is 25 you all come and ask me for a pic pretending we’re mates. What’s that about…”
