Britain's Got Talent: Top 10 finalists hoping for a spot at the Royal Variety

Britain’s Got Talent judges and producers have sifted through thousands of applicants and narrowed the top 10 down.

Those lucky enough to have made it through to the grand finale are in with a chance of pocketing a hefty £250,000 prize as well as the chance to perform in front of The Royal Family at the next Royal Variety Show.

This year, the decision has fallen to judges Amanda Holden, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and stand-in judge Ashley Banjo.

Ashley has stepped into the shoes of Simon Cowell who was unable to return to the UK after suffering an injury to his back in August.

Who is hoping to bag the top spot in tonight’s final?

Comedian Nabil received Alesha’s golden buzzer during the audition process.

The 35-year-old hailing from Croydon was branded a “breath of fresh air” after leaving the theatre audience and judges in fits of laughter.

While Walliams complimented him for taking “risks” during his routine.

Despite his mixture of comedy and commentary on the ITV show, he has endured mixed reaction from viewers which has seen over 700 complaints filed to the broadcasting watchdog, Ofcom.

Steve Royale

Variety performer Steve won his place in the final thanks to the judges’ vote.

The 51-year-old from Lancashire wowed at his audition with a bold move – juggling three acoustic guitars.

Steve has appeared in panto at The Grand Theatre in Blackpool 17 times over the years, as well as 16 sold-out shows at Manchester Arena as part of Phoenix Nights Live.

He was the first act sent through to tonight’s final.

Magical Bones

Magical Bones AKA Richard Essien was left gobsmacked after being sent through to the final by three of the four judges.

The 37-year-old from London wowed the crowd at his first audition during his routine while telling the story of Henry Box Brown, a 19th Century slave from Virginia who managed to escape and worked as a magician.

Alesha Dixon praised him, saying: “The fact that you’re a black man doing what you do, we have never had that before.”

During his semi-final performance, Magical left the judges in tears when his girlfriend and two-year-old son appeared.

Jon Courtenay

Musician Jon was awarded a place in the semi-finals after receiving Ant and Dec’s golden buzzer at his audition.

The 46-year-old wowed the judges and presenters with his piano and song-writing skills.

Jon, from Manchester, was welcomed with a standing ovation following his audition which focused on his family.

The star who is set to tour the UK in autumn described his experience as “really overwhelming”.

Aaron and Jasmine

Dance duo Aaron and Jasmine strutted their stuff into the final thanks to their intimate Latin dance moves.

Aaron, 28, and Jasmine, 32, left the virtual audience hot under their collars thanks to their performance which went down a treat, resulting in a standing ovation.

Speaking ahead of the final, Jasmine said: “We have dedicated all our lives to this.”

James and Dylan Piper

Father and son duo, James and Dylan from South Wales amazed the judges at their theatre audition thanks to their magic tricks.

During their audition in Manchester, they incorporated Simon Cowell’s relationship with his son, Eric, into their routine.

But it was during their semi-final performance where they left the judges aghast when letters spelling out the name of Ashley’s newborn son appeared.

Damien O’Brien

Magician Damien had viewers and the judges stunned during his audition which included the calculator on his smartphone.

He urged the judges to share a special date which had sentimental meaning to them before the dates were inputted into his phone calculator

He later revealed that the final result was engraved into the back of his device.

Signing choir Sign Along With Us is made up of 37 kids and 28 adults, all varying in age from 4-years-old to 64.

At their audition, they received David’s golden buzzer thanks to their emotional performance representing inclusivity.

The group was formed by Jade Kilduff, 18, after she discovered her brother Christian, four, may never talk again.

Jasper Cherry

14-year-old Jasper from Lancashire impressed the judges with his range of magic tricks varying from tricks using technology and close up moves.

During his audition, he managed to turn a handkerchief into an egg in his hand, before revealing the handkerchief from his pocket.

At his semi-final performance, he made a deck of cards appear before revealing in a pre-recorded video, which card David Walliams would eventually choose.

Aidan McCann

Irish star Aidan, 11, showcased his range of magic tricks during the semi-final – in a clip recorded from his bedroom in Ireland.

While using the power of mind-reading, he remotely managed to charm all four judges, with Amanda saying: “You are so professional and so charming and so cute! You just sold the whole thing, you’re so clever, I don’t know ho you did it!”

Aidan has previously appeared on Ireland’s Got Talent and on the famous Ellen DeGeneres Show in America.

Britain’s Got Talent: The Final airs tonight at 7.30pm on ITV
