Celebrity Big Brother contestant Heavy D’s brother Patrick has revealed that he was missing for two weeks before he died.
The reality TV star, who starred in Hunters UK and goes by real name Colin Newell, has now been confirmed dead by his brother and a friend.
Patrick confirmed the news today by taking to his Instagram account to share a print screen of a news article stating that Heavy D is dead.
Taking to the caption, he wrote: “My dearest brother Colin Newell -heavy D has passed away after been missing for 2 weeks….”
The brother also posted two weeks ago in a comment thread on social media asking if anyone had seen Heavy D.

In it, Patrick said his brother hadn’t been heard from since November 14.
He wrote: “hi Mitchell this is Patrick Heavy’s brother my brother heavy hasn’t been seen or heard since 14 nov we are concerned plus we don’t have his address to check on him can you check around he hasn’t been on Instagram since 14 November thanks mate.”
Patrick, who is a fine artist and has 28,000 followers on Instagram himself, didn’t give any more information on how his brother died.
Heavy D’s friend, Nick Nevern, was the first to confirm the news.

Taking to his Twitter today (November 25) he tweeted: “
I’m very shocked & saddened to hear of the passing of my friend @HeavyHeavyd.
“U lived ur life the way u wanted to & f**k anyone who didn’t like it! U always brought a smile to my face bro & lifted any room you where in. #RIPHeavyD.”
Heavy D hot to fame after appearing as a main buyer on the UK version of Storage Hunters, which airs on the digital channel Dave.
He took part in the 18th series of Celebrity Big Brother in August 2016 alongside the likes of Stephen Bear, Samantha Fox, Marnie Simpson and Ricky Norwood.
He became the fourth housemate to fourth housemate to be evicted on Day 20.
