EastEnders fans left in floods of tears as Mick tells Linda about his abuse

EastEnders fans were left crying as they watched Mick Carter tell his wife, Linda, he was abused as a child.

The New Year’s Eve special saw Mick (Danny Dyer) finally confront his evil abuser Katy Lewis (Simone Lahbib) after months of turmoil.

Mick found out he had a 30-year-old daughter, Frankie, earlier this year.

Frankie learned that Mick had been abused by her mum Katy, as she was born when he was 12.

Mick finally stood up to Katy before running home to find his wife Linda (Kellie Bright).

He then finally told Linda why he began pushing her away when he saw Katy.

Mick began by saying: “I’ve not been honest. I need to be honest.

“Okay, so what it is. I don’t know where to start…”

After trying to figure out what to say, Mick said: “She’s mine. Frankie’s mine. She’s my daughter.”

At first, Linda was furious as she thought this meant he had cheated on her.

Then Mick told her Frankie is in fact 30, and Linda suddenly realised this meant he was abused.

After learning about Frankie being his daughter and his abuse, Linda rushed over to Mick and pulled him in for a hug.

The couple were left crying in each other’s arms in the heartbreaking TV moment.

Fans went into meltdown on Twitter after watching the emotional scene.

One said: “I’m in tears. Mick. He did it. He spoke out. Danny Dyer is smashing this.”

While another wrote: “The realisation in Linda’s face actually sent me into a puddle of tears.

“Those two never fail to impress and command the screen.”

“Absolutely fantastic acting from both Linda and Mick. Crying,” added a third.
