Johnny Depp's home 'broken into by homeless man who took shower and had drink'

Johnny Depp’s home was broken in to by a homeless man who helped himself to a shower and a drink, it has been alleged.

TMZ reported that Los Angeles police were called to the home of the 57-year-old actor on Thursday after someone broke in.

Neighbours allegedly called the cops when they witnessed an apparently homeless man in a neighbourhood backyard next to the pool.

When they confronted him he took off and hopped a gate towards Johnny’s house.

A member of Johnny’s security staff then called the authorities again to report that the person was inside his home.

When the police arrived they found the man taking a shower in one of the bathrooms.

He then refused to come out forcing the police to kick down the door and arrest him.

It was also reported that the man got into Depp’s booze cupboard and helped himself to a drink.

According to TMZ, he was booked for felony vandalism due to a damaged door in the house.

This is the second time this year an intruder has broken into the actor’s home.

TMZ broke the news in January that a woman had broken into Johnny’s house to reportedly burgle it, but triggered the home security system and the cops were called and arrested her nearby.

Meanwhile, the break-in occurred the same day that Johnny launched a new legal argument in his attempt to appeal the ruling in his defamation case against The Sun.

Johnny sued the paper for libel for labelling him a “wife beater” but lost the case in November when a judge ruled that there was evidence he had been abusive to his ex-wife Amber Heard.

However, Johnny’s lawyer claimed on Thursday that Amber’s testimony was unfair because her promise to donate the $7 mil divorce settlement provided a “considerable boost to her credibility as a person” and “tipped the scales against Mr. Depp from the very beginning.”

He also claimed that Amber had not donated all the money, and had only given $100,000.

Amber’s lawyer claims that the reason she has not yet donated the rest of the money to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles where she has volunteered and American Civil Liberty is “because Mr. Depp filed a lawsuit against her, and consequently, she has been forced to spend millions of dollars defending Mr. Depp’s false accusations against her.”

The judge has not yet ruled on Depp’s bid for a re-trial.
