Coronation Street’s Sharon Bentley came back to Weatherfield after last being seen on the cobbles in 1999.
The iconic character was last seen when she left foster mum Rita Tanner infuriated as she attempted to sell the Kabin from under her feet.
Sharon returned and told Rita she nominated her for the Golden Heart Award for her fostering skills and goes on to apologise for the way she treated her all those years ago.
Corrie spoilers have revealed that Sharon will target struggling Leanne Battersby, but it’s not been revealed why.
It’s been suggested she might be involved in Battersby’s current drugs plot on the ITV soap.
In episodes airing next week, Sharon persuades Sally and Gail to go for a drink, but it soon becomes clear she’s actually interested in tracking down Leanne.
Realising Peter is Leanne’s ex, Sharon suggests they go for a coffee, but Peter claims he’s too tired.
In other scenes, Sharon calls at No8 and steals Gail’s laptop.
Later, Gemma drags Sharon to the Rovers for cocktails and while they’re there, Sharon sneakily breaks into Gail’s laptop and finds Nick’s mobile number.
Jenny was previously distracted by getting drinks, but when she returns to Sharon she wonders why there’s a screensaver of Sam on her laptop.
Sharon quickly hurries out, telling them she must have picked up Gail’s laptop by mistake.
Then Sharon returns the laptop to Gail, but Shona is left suspicious and tells David Platt’s mum that Sharon is definitely up to something.
Having overheard Sarah in the Kabin, Sharon offers to help her with Sam’s party.
Sarah receives a text from Nick asking her to meet him urgently, so Sharon offers to collect Sam from school.
She returns to No.8 with Sam and listens in when Sam calls Nick and tells him how much he misses him.
Sharon takes another step closer to Leanne after Sam confides in her.
When Sharon suggests she could set up a secret meeting for him with his Dad, Sam’s thrilled.
Sarah confides in Adam that Nick didn’t show up.
Sarah returns home to find Sharon and Sam holding a birthday disco in the living room.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays and Wednesdays 7.30pm and 8.30pm with an hour long episode at 7.30 on Fridays on ITV.
