No-nonsense former Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan has said that Ant and Dec’s NTA wins are ‘bl**dy boring’ as he asked fans to vote for him.
Piers has taken to Twitter to publicly hit out at Ant and Dec for winning the National Television Awards Presenter Of The Year award for 19 consecutive years.
The former GMB host has been nominated at the NTAs for the Best Entertainment Presenter award, a category voted for by the public.
Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have won the coveted award every single year since 2001 – and Piers is seriously eyeing it up.

Piers took to his favourite social media app, Twitter, to pen the following statement: “For 19 consecutive years, @antanddec have won TV Presenter of the Year at @OfficialNTAs.
“It’s been as annoying as it’s been bl**dy boring,” he hit out.
“Now, you can finally end the tediously predictable carve-up & choose a more deserving winner: Me,” before urging his followers to click on the link and vote for him.

One follower replied to the former GMB presenter, digging at one of Piers’ most recent Twitter spats: “As you don’t present a show right now I’m sure you’ll be happy with a silver medal. Only working presenters take home gold here.”
Another follower picked him up on when he walked out midway through presenting the morning breakfast show: “As much as I enjoy watching you @piersmorgan – you did walk off National TV on a breakfast show.”

The follower then said: “Whilst I admit that the pressure was great, and I supported you at the time, you just can’t walk off and win an award…just IMO…. You need to be back on TV to win something….”
Piers along with Ant and Dec are nominated for the coveted award alongside the likes Bradley Walsh who hosts The Chase, as well as Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond who both host This Morning.

When Piers found out that he was nominated for the award, he couldn’t help but make a quick dig at his favourite nemesis – Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.
In a tweet yesterday, he said: “Though could be a tad #awks for ITV if I win for my work on @GMB. Might have to pull a Brando and send Princess Pinocchio along to receive it on my behalf….”
Piers left the breakfast show back in March after he walked off the set on live TV after discussing Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The rant received more than 54,000 Ofcom complaints, before Piers walked off and never returned.
