New photos and drone footage have emerged inside Gwrych Castle which show preparations are underway for the upcoming series of I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!
The estate, located in Abergele, North Wales appears to have been taken over by ITV production crew ahead of the launch of the new series which will take place on November, 21.
It looks as though the crew are finishing up the final touches on the campsite as the newest batch of celebrities reside in quarantine after the launch date was announced by ITV bosses.
Aerial photos, as seen on North Wales Live, were taken earlier this week which showcase a number of structures and warehouses which have been erected on and outside the grounds of the castle while staff work perfect the additional sets for the challenging trials.
The new photos show the extent of this year’s construction site for the bushtucker trials which is on a much larger scale than last year’s series as Covid-19 restrictions continue to relax in the UK.
It shows two ginormous construction sites set up on route to the castle, one only a hundred yards from the castle grounds and the other three hundred yards back towards the castle gates.
During the peak of the coronavirus last year, the production team were limited to the grounds of the castle for the hit reality series with producers forced to install cameras across the castle grounds to capture the campmates trials.
It comes after a massive bungee platform has appeared over a quarry in Wales, leading I’m a Celebrity fans to speculate that it will be part of the upcoming ITV series.
The huge platform was seen being built at the Alexandra Quarry near Penyffridd, outside Caernarfon, this week with two platforms stretching over the sheer cliff edge.
With viewers eagerly awaiting the start of the new series, there are rumours that the structure will feature in the big opening episode, reports North Wales Live.
Previous seasons have seen celebrities made to walk out on a plank, constructed along the top of a skyscraper, and wait at the edge before being allowed to return to solid ground.
Crews have been photographed constructing the since the castle’s closure on September 5 to make sure everything is ready for this year’s line-up of celebs who have been warned this year’s show will be bigger and better than before.
Several celebrities are already heavily rumoured to be appearing in the show, with Rudimental star DJ Locksmith reportedly isolating in a North Wales cottage.
Sop stars Simon Gregson, Adam Woodyatt and Danny Miller, along with ex-footballer David Ginola and Olympian Matty Lee, are also rumoured to be heading in.
