Susanna Reid called 'touchy' by Adil Ray as GMB hosts clash over awkward guest slip-up

Good Morning Britain presenters Adil Ray and Susanna Reid experienced a cumbersome moment live on air which lead Adil to label his co-host as “touchy”.

The presenting duo couldn’t see eye to eye when they discussed their 1 million minutes campaign with their guest actress Adjoa Andoh who was helping the presenters to scan the QR code from the campaign on her phone.

But things got fairly hairy when Susanna was forced to correct Adil when he accidentally called the Bridgerton star “she” instead of her name.

Susanna said: “That was very useful to know, can I just double check do you have to turn your wifi off?”

Pointing to Adjoa, Adil then said: “Oh no because the wifi, she doesn’t have the wifi-“

But Susanna quickly interjected him and said: “She? The cat’s mother, Adjoa!”

Taken aback by her comment, Adil then said: “Everyone is touchy this morning.”

But as things got uncomfortable, Adjoa could clearly be seen looking awkward.

Adil then replied: “One million minutes everyone, be kind.”

Despite the laughter, this wasn’t the only time Adil had to be corrected while talking to Adjoa.

When discussing Bridgerton, Adil seemed to suggest the programme wasn’t historically accurate.

However, Adjoa wasn’t having any of it and told him that it was much more historically accurate than he may realise.

She also highlighted the fact that there were many people of colour around at the time the period drama was set.

Previously speaking to Harper’s Bazar about her character Lady Danbury in the Netflix series, Adjoa seemed to be very chuffed about the popular response she received for the role.

She also said she loves playing the part too.

The actress expressed: “I like Lady Danbury. I see a lot of my mum, and my aunts in her.

“I just see a lot of all those women who have had to just get on with life, who’ve had to pull up their skirts, and girded their loins, and go, ‘Okay, what’s the next thing I have to deal with? Okay.Let’s deal with it.’

“Let’s deal with it with humor, and optimism, and cheerfulness, and a good healthy dose of skepticism as well.”
