Piers Morgan claims he's 'already ruffling the right feathers' ahead of new show debut

Piers Morgan has teased fans about his new programme on TalkTV, sharing that it is expected to be aired in the coming weeks.

The journalist has been visiting Australia in the last few days to meet his new colleagues across the globe, ahead of the show’s launch on Sky News Australia.

Piers has already placed himself a huge talking point as he organised a chat with the nation’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

Alongside appearing on a breakfast TV show “that would let me express my opinions”, which is a swipe towards his former Good Morning Britain role.

However, the time is coming for Piers to be on screens once again, with him making another return to the UK before things officially kick-off.

Alongside a clip, he said: “Farewell, Sydney. I leave you as I found you a week ago… and how you’ve been the entire time…. chucking it down!

“But it was still a wonderful trip and my hotel @parkhyattsydney was one of the very best I’ve ever stayed in. Who can moan when you have a view like this from your room?

“Beautiful harbour, great city, and special thanks to everyone at Sky News Australia for making me feel so welcome.”

He went on to add: “We seem to be already ruffling all the right feathers. Can’t wait to get started on the new show.”

The TV personality famously stormed off GMB last year after he rowed with his ITV co-star Alex Beresford over comments he made about The Princess of Sussex.

He departed from the daytime show in March 2021 and has promised that his new programme will celebrate “the right of everyone to have an opinion.”

Advertising his new TV show, Piers had previously stated: “I’ll be a tri-continent irritant which is something I’ve been aspiring to be for quite some time…

“If you’ve missed me on morning TV, I’m sorry, I’ll be back very soon.”

This comes a few weeks after he gave fans a glimpse behind-the-scenes of the programme as he shared a photo of an empty London studio on social media.

He captioned the pic: “BREAKING: First (very early) glimpse of my spanking new work home.”

“If you judge a man by the size of his studio then I’ll be MASSIVE when my new global daily prime-time TV show launches in a few weeks. ps relax, those aren’t actually dance-floor lights…”
