Scottish comedian Jerry Sadowitz has had his Edinburgh Fringe shows yanked from the line-up after he allegedly flashed his penis at a female audience member.
The 60-year-old was booked to play two shows at the Pleasance, which carried various content warnings as viewers were told it contains “strong language and themes some may find distressing”.
But he was soon hit with allegations of using racist language and getting his penis out on stage.

Now the second gig of his two-show stint has been cancelled by Fringe, with Jerry announcing on Twitter: “Did a show last night, 75 mins, thought it went well. Didn’t see any walkouts.

“Today I’m told my show’s been cancelled. Great stuff. I’m truly sorry for everyone who travelled to see the show tonight.”
It comes after one audience member claimed to the Scottish Sun: “I was at the show. He called Rishi Sunak a ‘p***’; said the economy was awful because it is run by ‘blacks and women’.
“He got his penis out to a woman in the front row. The problem was not the audience – I knew he was an acquired taste. It was his indefensible content.”

Sadowitz had already promised to “get his d*** out” in a promotional video for the show.
In the past, the comic has used a prop of a manhood and hurled it into the audience. It is not clear if a prop was once again used at the festival.
Meanwhile, the Pleasance Theatre Trust has also issued a statement, commenting: “The Pleasance is a venue that champions freedom of speech and we do not censor comedians’ material.
“While we acknowledge that Jerry Sadowitz has often been controversial, the material presented at his first show is not acceptable and does not align with our values.

“This type of material has no place on the festival and the Pleasance will not be presenting his second and final show.”
The decision to cancel Jerry’s show has been slammed by other comedians as “woke”, with Leo Kearse commenting: “If the Islamic fundamentalists don’t get you, the wokeists will.”
However, others have supported the decision, with one fan writing: “It was reported that you exposed yourself. If that’s true then that’s not funny and also illegal. Also racist and sexist slurs are not funny [to be honest].”
Another said: “I’m all for free speech but if you were flippantly using ‘p***’ to describe someone then…”
