Coronation Street fans were sent into meltdown during the latest visit to Weatherfield as a “missing” characters returned to television screens.
Bernie Winter (Jane Hazelgrove) returned from her shopping spree for Joseph Brown’s new uniform with a posh blazer for herself during Friday’s (August 26) episode.
When Bernie admitted that the blazer was meant for someone else and was given to her in error, Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) urged her to take it back.

However, fans were distracted from the family drama as two of Gemma and Chesney’s quads, Aled and Cleo, made an appearance.
Gemma gave birth to four babies in Llandudno whilst on holiday back in 2019.
After giving birth in North Wales, the quads were all given Welsh names; Bryn, Cleo, Carys and Aled.
The rarely-seen tots have been missing from the show for months but half of them made an appearance during the latest instalment.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Finally an appearance from the quads!”
Another added: “We saw half the quads tonight it is a miracle.”
A third person posted: “Was that a quad I saw.”
While a fourth social media user said: “OMG .the quads, or at least some of them! It’s a miracle.”
The quads are often spoken their parents and Gemma’s mum Bernie, who lives in the house as well as Chesney’s son Joseph.
Elsewhere in the episode, a lady called at No.5 and introduced herself as Fern.
She claimed that Bernie had tried stealing her posh jacket, so how will Bernie get out of this one?
Corrie fans may recognise Fern actress Gabrielle Glaister from her previously role in the ITV soap.
The actress famously played Debs Brownlow back in 2000.
Debs is beautician sister of Natalie Barnes (Denise Welch) who turned up in Weatherfield after working on the cruise ships.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV at 8pm
